1. Introduction

Welcome to Ayo Giwa Photography. These terms and conditions govern your use of our website and services. By booking a service through our website, you agree to these terms.

  • Business Name: Ayo Giwa Photography

  • Contact Information: As we do not operate from a public business address, all correspondence should be directed to us via email at giwa.ayo.04@gmail.com or phone at 07594425255. By using our website or booking our services, you agree to comply with these terms and conditions.

2. Service Description

We offer a range of photography services, including but not limited to:

  • Portrait Photography

  • Event Photography

  • Lifestyle Photography

  • Custom/Bespoke Services

  • Introduction to Photography Course (available both in-person and online via Zoom)

To inquire about bespoke services, please contact us directly via email or phone. A consultation will be arranged to discuss your requirements, and a detailed quote will be provided.

3. Booking and Payment

  • Booking Process: Clients can book services directly through our website by going to the Hire Me section, selecting the desired service, inputting their details, and requesting a booking. Clients will receive an email confirmation of their booking once the deposit has been received and any additional information has been provided.

  • Payment Terms: Payment for standard services and the Introduction to Photography course is due at the time of booking through the website. For bespoke services, payment will be made via bank transfer or cash, with pricing provided before, during, or after the session.

  • Payment Methods: We accept bank transfers and cash.

  • Deposits and Final Payments: A deposit of £40 is required for all services, excluding the Introduction to Photography course, and must be paid at the time of booking. This deposit goes towards the cost of administration. Deposits are non-refundable, except in the instance of a cancellation initiated by us due to unforeseen circumstances. Final payments for services are due, at the latest, 2 working days after the session. For the Introduction to Photography course, the full payment for all 4 sessions must be made upfront at the time of booking.

  • Currency: All payments are to be made in GBP (£).

4. Cancellations and Refunds

  • Client Cancellations: Clients can cancel their booking by contacting giwa.ayo.04@gmail.com. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the session will incur a cancellation fee of £40, if an amount greater than the deposit was paid. The remaining balance will be refunded to clients via bank transfer. In the case where only the deposit was paid, clients will not be refunded this deposit and will not be required to pay a cancellation fee. Refunds will be issued under the following conditions: clients cancel their booking by contacting giwa.ayo.04@gmail.com at least 24 hours before the session. Deposits are non-refundable, except in the instance of a cancellation initiated by us due to unforeseen circumstances.

    • Introduction to Photography Course: No refunds will be provided for no-shows to any of the course sessions. Cancellations for the course follow the same policy as above, and any missed sessions will not be refunded.

  • Business Cancellations: We reserve the right to cancel a booking due to unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, clients will be offered a full refund, including the deposit, or the option to reschedule the session or course.

  • No-Show Policy: If a client fails to show up for their scheduled session or course session without prior notice, they will be subject to our cancellation terms. They will incur a cancellation fee of £40, if an amount greater than the deposit was paid. The remaining balance will be refunded to the client via bank transfer. In the case where only the deposit was paid, clients will not be refunded this deposit and will not be required to pay a cancellation fee.

    • For the Introduction to Photography Course, no refunds will be issued for missed sessions.

5. Rescheduling

  • Client Requests: Clients may request to reschedule a session by contacting giwa.ayo.04@gmail.com, provided the request is made at least 24 hours in advance. A rescheduling fee of £10 may apply. The fee applies to client-initiated requests only. If the rescheduling is due to our own unforeseen circumstances, no fee will apply, and the client will be offered a £20 discount or the option to cancel with a full refund.

    • Introduction to Photography Course: Clients may reschedule a course session only if the request is made at least 24 hours in advance. A rescheduling fee of £10 may apply per session. If a session is missed without rescheduling, it will not be refunded or rescheduled.

  • Business-Initiated Rescheduling: We reserve the right to reschedule a session or course session due to unforeseen circumstances. Clients will be offered a £20 discount in this case or the option to cancel the session or course and receive a full refund.

6. Deliverables

  • Turnaround Time: Edited photographs and other deliverables will be provided within 2 weeks after the session. While we strive to meet the stated turnaround time, unforeseen circumstances such as technical issues may cause delays. We will inform clients promptly if this occurs.

  • Format and Delivery Method: Clients will receive their photos in digital format via online file transfer.

  • Copyright and Usage Rights: Ayo Giwa Photography retains copyright over all images and footage. Clients are granted permission to produce further copies, share online, and use for promotional and commercial uses, including promotional materials, websites, and social media, but may not modify the images without permission. Any use beyond these, including resale of the images, requires additional permission.

7. Pricing and Additional Costs

  • Standard Pricing: Prices for standard services are as follows:

    • Professional Headshots: £85

    • Portrait: £100

    • Promotional Shoot: £250

    • Event Photography: £275

    • Introduction to Photography Course: Under 18s £80, Adults £120 (4 sessions over 4 weeks)

  • Bespoke Pricing: Custom services will be priced separately, and a detailed quote will be provided after a consultation.

  • Additional Costs: Any additional costs, such as travel expenses or extra editing fees, will be communicated in advance. Clients will be provided with a detailed quote if the scope of the service changes.

8. Liability and Indemnity

  • Limitation of Liability: Ayo Giwa Photography is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the services provided. Our total liability will not exceed the amount paid by the client for the service.

  • Client Responsibility: Clients are responsible for ensuring their availability for the session or course, providing accurate information, and ensuring that the venue or location is accessible and suitable for the photography session or course.

9. Privacy Policy

  • Data Collection: We collect personal data such as contact information and payment details for the purpose of processing bookings and communicating with clients.

  • Use of Data: Personal data will be used to fulfil the services requested and will not be shared with third parties without consent.

  • Data Protection: We comply with GDPR and UK data protection laws to safeguard your personal information. Clients may request access to their personal data or request its deletion by contacting us at giwa.ayo.04@gmail.com. We comply fully with GDPR regulations to ensure your data is protected.

10. Dispute Resolution

  • Complaints Process: If you are dissatisfied with our services, please contact us at giwa.ayo.04@gmail.com to discuss the issue. We aim to respond to all complaints within 2 working days.

  • Governing Law: These terms are governed by UK law, and any disputes will be resolved under the jurisdiction of the courts of Scotland.

11. Changes to Terms and Conditions

  • Amendments: We reserve the right to update these terms and conditions at any time. Clients will be informed of changes via email. We recommend that clients review these terms periodically. Any changes will be communicated via email and will be effective immediately upon posting on the website.
